Kristen Mersereau

Kristen Mersereau began her legal career in 1994 at the law firm of Alston & Bird LLP (A&B) in Atlanta, Georgia.  At A&B, Kristen represented clients whose businesses relied heavily on technology, software, and other types of intellectual property, first as a litigator and later as a transactional attorney.  Kristen also worked in A&B’s trademark prosecution practice, advising clients on the protection and registration of trademarks and handling appeals to the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.  In recent years, Kristen has focused on corporate transactional matters as well as estate planning, wills, and trusts.  She personally serves as the trustee for multiple irrevocable trusts.

Kristen is a graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law (’94) where she was Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Intellectual Property Law.  Prior to law school, she graduated from Rhodes College with honors and was selected for membership in Phi Beta Kappa.  She is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida and the State of Georgia.
